The Man Behind the Brand.
KEVIN.MURPHY, the brand, was born through Kevin Murphy’s editorial work.
He established himself as an in-demand stylist in Australia after training in London. Later, his editorial work graced the covers of global print publications. He also directed hair teams for many high profile fashion houses. Through his work, he found there were no styling products that fulfilled his needs. So he created his own. In answering his own need, Kevin Murphy not only created products that were easy to use but also crossed over to clients perfectly.

We also recognize that climate change is serious. Therefore, we make every effort to do our part to help the environment.
Beginning in 2019, recycled ocean plastics will form the basis of our packaging. In doing so, we are the first beauty brand to put this practice into place. Not only will it save over 360 tons of new plastic each year, but it creates a circular supply chain for our packaging.
We also use natural ingredients from sustainable, renewable sources.

Philanthropy is at the heart of our brand.
We support charities that are close to our hearts and focus on both human and environmental issues. THE HEART OF KEVIN.MURPHY is a non-profit arm of the company. Its purpose is to fund charities, such as Culture is Life, which is dedicated to preserving the culture of indigenous Australians. We also support breast cancer research through Wings of Karen. Finally, we are supporters of The Climate Reality Project. Through product sales, we make a financial donation in an effort to lessen our global carbon footprint.

We are proudly a PETA recommended ‘Cruelty Free’ company. KEVIN.MURPHY does not harm nor test on animals. Furthermore, we avoid the use of ingredients that harm or damage animals or the environment.

Another way to help the environment is to use ethically sourced ingredients from sustainable and renewable resources. We look for companies that use both organic growing practices and ecologically sound wild harvesting.
